The Provincial Government participated in the official event for the 10th Anniversary of the XIX Tierra del Fuego Antarctica and South Atlantic Islands Group. It was chaired by the Commander of Region VII, Fabio Benegas; the Head of the XIX Group, Commander Mayor, Silvio Amarilla and the Minister of Works and Public Services, Gabriela Castillo and took place in the facilities of the Esther Fadul Cultural Center.
During the ceremony, a copy of personal files was presented to those who completed 35 years of uninterrupted service in the Institution. It is in recognition of their dedication and effort with the Gendarmerie.
Likewise, various sections were recognized, which throughout this year stood out in the fulfillment of their work. Mention was made to the San Sebastián International Pass section, as well as the High Mountain Specialist Group.
Minister Castillo was accompanied by the General Legal and Technical Secretary, José Capdevila, and they highlighted the accompaniment of the Gendarmerie and the Group, in the various actions carried out together with the Provincial Government. “Without a doubt, it is an Institution that strives for security and in our province, they have always collaborated with the Government tirelessly,” they highlighted.
For his part, the Commander of Region VII of the Argentine National Gendarmerie, Fabio Benegas, thanked those present for their participation in the ceremony, as well as throughout these 10 years of the XIX Group. “I appreciate the permanent support that the Provincial Government gives us and the respect they give to uniformed institutions, whether armed or security.”
During his speech, the Senior Commander highlighted the work of the different sections that were recognized, as well as the retirees who accompanied the event and who served in the Institution.
