The national government, through the Ministry of Human Capital, announced the elimination of Enhance Work planwhich will be replaced by two specialized programs.

“This is a new decisive step towards optimization of the social and labor inclusion strategy that the Ministry will have,” the Minister of Human Capital, Sandra Pettovello, said in a statement.

Back to Work Program

According to reports from the portfolio, the “Back to Work Program” will be aimed at the population of 18 to 49 years and will seek to “strengthen job skills and improve employability,” to “incorporate these individuals into the formal labor market” and it was estimated that “75% of the beneficiaries of the Potenciar Trabajo Plan will move to this new program.”

This program will have a “comprehensive approach”, will provide “guidance and assistance” in the search for employment, labor intermediation services, training, certification of skills, and promotion of productive ventures, they detailed.

Likewise, they reported that it will be allowed to be program beneficiary and maintain formal registered employmentwith income of up to three Minimum Vital and Mobile Wages (SMVM).

Social Accompaniment Program

Meanwhile, the “Social Accompaniment Program” It will focus on those over 50 years of age and mothers of four or more children, two groups with “particular challenges in terms of inclusion and who require more comprehensive support.”

From the Ministry they indicated that the program «will not only provide immediate assistance, but will also seek to empower these individuals through support in capacity building and family strengthening.»

In addition, they pointed out that the beneficiaries of the Social Support Program will be able to participate in the “Back to Work” program.

The portfolio announced that “these programs will implementn mechanisms that reduce the possibility of control and discretionary management of the resources that the Management Units in charge of coordinating and managing the benefits and projects of the program had.”
