Ushuaia celebrated the Day of the Rights of Children and Adolescents – News from Argentina

Hundreds of families with their children participated in the Street Intervention carried out by the Municipality of Ushuaia this Saturday on San Martín Street. From the Secretariat of Social, Health and Human Rights Policies, they made visible the Rights of Boys, Girls and Adolescents with play and recreation spaces.

“From the Municipality we execute a comprehensive approach, promoting the full exercise of the rights of children and adolescents, proposing a diverse and plural imprint,” said Erica Fossatti, Undersecretary of Social Inclusion.

From 4 to 7:30 p.m., in the city center, the municipal teams dedicated to Children set up the municipal kermesse “Life is a smile”, presented the stands of the visual arts workshop for children and girls, from CEPLA, Punto Digital,

Community Parenting Zone, CDI Jorge Britos-Pequeños Pasos, the “Del Aula al Barrio” program, the Adolescence program and a comprehensive health advisory team in secondary schools. The artistic expressions “La Familia del Tambor” and “Folclore en slippers” also participated, belonging to the Ministry of Culture and Education and Caporales San Valentin and Ritmo Sur.

The celebration also made it possible to provide information on the rights of children and adolescents, with the presence of health teams to promote healthy habits and practices.

Fossatti explained that “With the street intervention we celebrated the universal day of our childhoods, which is why various actors from our city were summoned who from somewhere host and contribute to the support, care and accompaniment of our childhoods and adolescence, as well as taking care of whoever care, from a proposal of co-responsibility.”
