After the new meeting of the Pro-Growth Cabinet, which took place this Friday in Los Andes, President Gabriel Boric avoided answering a question from the press regarding the cryptic phrase «More Narbona, less Craig», which he formulated three weeks ago in an appeal to the business community.

«This controversy has been going on for a long time, I am worried about much more important things at this moment,» replied the President, a response that he reiterated at the journalist’s insistence. Asked if he was not going to clarify the meaning to the businessmen, given the context of the press conference that day, the head of state maintained his position: «I respond to the Chileans.»

In any case, days after the cryptic statement, the Minister of the Interior, Carolina Tohá, had confirmed that she was referring to the wealthy Luksic family. It was previously speculated that Boric confused the surnames Narbona and Fontbona, the latter present in the Luksic, and that he wanted to make a contrast between the brothers Andrónico Luksic Craig and Jean-Paul Luksic Fontbona, as a criticism of some comments by the former, which he questioned its management.
