The Investigative Police (PDI) arrested a subject linked to the murder of Pedro Cabreraa farmer who was shot to death in October 2020, in the commune of Collipulli, La Araucanía Region.
The PDI confirmed that the 22-year-old subject was arrested on Monday afternoon in Angol. This day, the accused was formalized by the crimes of qualified homicide, arson and unjustified shooting.
The head of the Cautín provincial prefecture, Luis Garridodetailed that «said person remained a fugitive from justice «because he was one of the people responsible and accused of being responsible for the crime of qualified homicide against a farmer, perpetrated on the Agua Nueva farm in the commune of Collipulli.»
Meanwhile, the prosecutor Marcos Pavés added that «in addition to the formalization of the murder of this forestry worker, it was formalized by events recorded in September 2020 on Route 5 Southwhere also participating with a group of armed individuals, he shot at people who were traveling along this road, and also burned a truck that was traveling southward.
In April of this year, the civil police arrested four other people for their alleged participation in the homicide of farmer Pedro Cabrera and also Pablo Burgos, both murdered in La Araucanía in 2020 and who are currently in preventive detention.
