Ark: Ascended survival has announced an upcoming DLC that will connect several stories together, paving the way for a new game. After a long four-year wait for more content, Ark: Lost colony has finally launched, hinting that Ark 2 may be closer than expected.
Ark: The Lost Colony Will Lead to the Events of Ark 2
This Expansion Gives Us a Glimpse into the Future of the Franchise
This DLC, Ark: Ascended survival‘s first original expansion, is set to launch in December 2025 for $29.99. It focuses on exploring Arat Prime, the birthplace of the Arks, and follows Mei Yin as players venture into a new icy biome filled with creatures and enemies.
The expansion will connect the stories of Ark extinction and Genesis, leading to the events of the next game in the series. Factions will battle for control of the city, aiming to undo the achievements of Ark extinction, and players will need to decide how to shape the future of Ark by uniting past and future elements.
Before the full release of Lost colony, a pass is available for early access to bonuses such as a partner Veilwyn, Tek Bunker, Darktek Cosmetics, and Taming Drakelings. Additionally, a new skill tree called The Lost Skill Tree will be introduced, offering players greater customization of their character’s abilities.
