“It is a niche genre, of certain people in society. Metal does not have the place of promotion that other genres do, that makes it more difficult,” she reflects. “It will always come first mainstream, That’s how it has to be, but “It is good for metal that we continue fighting to maintain it.”
What will Metal Giants be like?
The Gigantes del Metal festival is going to unite for the first time on the same stage three absolute references of the genre in Latin America and Giménez is happy with the good vibes that prevail between them.
“Playing with Adrián is very familiar, we have known each other for a thousand years,” he says. And he adds: “I am a fervent lover of his music. He seems to me to be a number one singer, he is the best in Latin America in his style.”.
With Horcas, the relationship goes back three decades, when ANIMAL was still a dream to be realized in the guitarist’s head. “I was a sound operator for Horcas before forming the band and there I became friends with the kids. I even recovered a guitar that had been stolen from Sebastián Coria,” he says.
There are still a couple of weeks before the shows in the West and in Palermo, but Giménez has an objective for the dates that hopes the fans: “I want to talk to them, to see if they get the hang of it, because I would like to do a couple of covers between the three bands”.
