In El Primer Café, Matías Acevedo, former Budget Director of Sebastián Piñera’s second term, warned that the Government’s pension reform «promises to deliver a fixed benefit, with a contribution, with income that is variable.» He recalled that the project from the previous mandate proposed something similar, although on the basis that «if income was less than expenses, which are fixed, benefits could eventually be adjusted downwards, but political reality is going to make it impossible.» on this occasion.
