President Gabriel Boric advocated «advance in the democratization» of Cuba, as well as by lifting the «unilateral blockade» on that island, during a public statement delivered in La Moneda together with the Secretary General of the United Nations, António Guterres.
The representative of that organization, visiting Chile for the commemoration of International Press Freedom Day and the UN Chief Executives Board, held a bilateral meeting with the President this Thursday afternoon.

In that line, The President gave as an example «the political situation in Haiti, which is in a tremendously critical situation in many sectors dominated by criminal gangs; «We cannot look the other way in the face of this crisis.»
