May Week was one of the most problematic for the Government for several reasons, since not only did it not come with the Base Law approved as expected, but also an internal issue that until now they had tried to hide was exposed. The one named is the Chief of Staff, Nicolas Possewho has a guaranteed exit after several short circuits with the president’s small table, Javier Mileiespecially his sister, Karina.
This situation generated endless rumors about his replacement, despite the fact that his collaborators privately assure that he is not going to resign. The discomfort was evident and in recent days there was no official denial, the bet was even redoubled: «Not just Posse, everyone is under review,» Milei said.

And this May 25, there was a lot of expectation for the position that Posse would take in a day of consecutive events, first the Tedeum in the City of Buenos Aires and then the event at the Cabildo of Córdoba. But also because of how he would be received by the rest of the Government, who previously stated that he would not attend any of the rallies.
Against all odds, Posse was present in both, and as expected, received the same hostile treatment as during the week. In the first of the events, he was relegated to a second row in the photo that captured the moment. But also, the announcer of the official broadcast “forgot†to name the Chief of Staff. To make matters worse, once inside the temple, The President did not greet him.

After the Tedeum, Posse continued on his way to Córdoba and traveled by car to Aeroparque with the Minister of the Interior, Guillermo Francos, and the Deputy Chief of Staff, José Rolandi. He flew on the same plane with the rest of the Government team. Javier and Karina Milei moved on another aircraft due to security protocol. Already within the framework of the event in the Cordoba Cabildo, the outgoing official was ignored by the Presidentwho once again refused to greet him in public.

The fact is that the distance between Milei and Posse is not new. To find the last time they had shared a public event before this Saturday, we had to go back to the end of April. And already in the corridors of the Casa Rosada there was talk of a dialogue interrupted between the two.
Even the rest of the Government team put him aside and speculated about an early exit. Only Francos kept his manners because he also maintains friendships with Posse.
Different sources indicate that what decreed the imminent departure of the Government was the confrontation with Karina Milei. “The Boss†is the President’s most trusted person and despite maintaining a friendship with Posse, those differences with his sister ended up breaking the relationship.
As factual proof of Posse’s loss of power and interference, several weeks ago it was consolidated an integrated daily decision-making group by Karina and her right hand, Eduardo “Lule†Menem; Francos and his second, Lisandro Catalány Santiafo Caputo.
