Bridgerton’s Regé-Jean Page and The Little Mermaid’s Halle Bailey star together in a new romantic comedy called You, Me and Tuscany, and fans can now get their first look at the film. The two film and television stars joined the cast in March 2025, with Matlock executive producer and Marry Me director Kat Coiro joining as director.
Before its theatrical release, People shared three photos from the film, giving fans an idea of what to expect from the romantic comedy.
Bailey plays Anna, a woman who stumbles upon a deserted Tuscan villa and decides to settle there during her getaway to Italy. Page plays the owner of the villa, and their meeting forces them to live unexplored adventures, as well as love and deception.
People shared first-look images of You, Me and Tuscany, including the couple drinking wine together and running through a vineyard.
During an interview with People, Bailey and Page gave insight into their characters in You, Me and Tuscany. Bailey was captivated by Anna’s story and her vision and passion in the film, describing it as a feel-good movie.
Page was immediately hooked by the premise of You, Me and Tuscany after being described as «Tuscany in summer.»
The two actors met for the first time at the Met Gala, where they had already joined the cast of You, Me and Tuscany. Bailey approached Page and introduced herself, already being a fan of his work in Bridgerton.
The chemistry between Bailey and Page was evident from the beginning, with Page noting that «It’s hard not to fall into Halle’s eyes,» and they felt safe in each other’s company.
Regarding the filming process, Page added that Bailey is «Olympian-level fast,» which he discovered when they filmed a scene in which he had to chase her. Bailey even challenged Page to a race, showcasing her athletic abilities.
Bailey is best known for her music career as part of the duo Chloe x Halle and her roles in The Little Mermaid, The Color Purple musical film, and the Blackish spin-off Grown-ish. Meanwhile, Page gained attention for his role as Simon Basset, the Duke of Hastings, in the first season of the Netflix series Bridgerton. After completing his character arc, the actor pursued other projects including «The Gray Man,» «Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves,» and «Black Bag.» Now, he is set to star in the upcoming romantic comedy «The Little Mermaid» alongside the cast of «Bridgerton.»
