The Government gave more than 40 tons of animal concentrate for 93 farmers of the Agricultural Development Institute (Indap) that were affected by the forest fires that afflicted the communes of Christmas and The star, in the O’Higgins Region.
«We must reach with timely support for all people. And in that context, as Indap, as the Ministry of Agriculture, we have been with families affected by the fires at Christmas and now in La Estrella, where we have been delivering bags of animal concentrate», pointed out the national director of Indap, Santiago Rojas.
This, «so that they can (…) keep the animals alive, your biggest source of work, because they have lost their forage and their infrastructure has burned. So, in addition to that, we take advantage of informing that we are going to organize some programs to support those who need it most», added the authority.
The Minister of the Environment, Maisa Rojas, He was also at the place of deliveries, where he maintained that «the President of the Republic (Gabriel Boric) has asked us to be a Government on the ground, to be with the people. Here the basic information sheets have already been created , like the FIBE and we are already providing the first type of aid for animal food forage.»
In this way, the delivery of the elements constitutes the first assistance of the current administration to the agricultural sector, which will also benefit farmers from the communes of Pumaque, Lolol and Marchigüe.
