Javier Milei He was at the Fundación Libertad dinner this Wednesday and his intervention did not go unnoticed. With an emphatic speech he mocked economists and opponents and once again highlighted the achievements of his economic plan. Mainly, he emphasized ending the fiscal deficit and the “chainsaw” to public spending.
“If we want to raise and improve the quality of life of Argentines, we must attack the fiscal deficit, we must attack public spending but not only at the national level, but also at the provincial and municipal level. We must sweep away the treasury in all dimensions,” he noted.
In the most critical part of this part of his speech he pointed out that this is the “source of our impoverishment, the cause of people not having enough money.” “Let there be a lot of people starving yourself is the fault of the damn politicians «They don’t want to lower public spending,» he asserted.
Milei challenged legislators on the “base law”
“In January we reached financial balance, what did the bunch of screwers say? Instead of acknowledging that they screwed up, ‘no good, it’s too little chainsaw and too much blender,’” she said, raising her voice in a mocking tone.
Then, he pointed to the legislators, ensuring that regardless of the decisions they make, their management will achieve the objectives. “Throw away the ‘base law’, we are still going to achieve it,” the president noted during a passage of his speech.
In the same spirit and once again detaching himself from the politicians, he asserted: “We are going to achieve all this, despite the politics.”
