The plebiscite of December 17 is about the proposal for a new Constitution, but it is «obvious» that it is also about the management of the GovernmentAccording to Senator RN for Los Ríos, María José Gatica.
«The factor of how the country is functioning today is also going to be a very important factor in how people are going to vote; If they are against how the country is functioning or disagree, it will also be a factor«he said in conversation with TV Senate.
The parliamentarian added: «I know people who are going to take it by voting in favor and are going to indicate that they are dissatisfied and others are voting against, so it is very complex to be able to project the result that this plebiscite will have (…) I think that is still open«I see it from that perspective, let’s see what happens.»
In dialogue with the Depth of Fields program, Gatica reaffirmed that the A Favor «is a prudent instance to close this process; the way in which this second conventional process worked and worked was very different from the first; a serious process, which gives certainties, clarity, quite technical and, therefore, I think that also generates greater seriousness in what is going to be voted on.
