Pokémon Scarlet & Violet Finally Gets Shiny Koraidon and Miraidon
The Legendaries Were Previously Shiny-Locked
Nintendo is currently organizing a special distribution event, as reported by Serebii, granting players the opportunity to obtain a bright Koraid or a bright Siraid for Scarlet and Violet. Reports indicate that the event is facing numerous complaints. Some fans find it challenging to obtain a code, while others are unable to participate due to the event not being available in their region.
What Fans Are Saying About the Shiny Koraidon & Miraidon Distribution Event
There Are Many Complaints About the Current Pokémon Scarlet & Violet Event
The distribution event, while excellent in allowing the legendary Pokémon to be shiny for the first time, is facing several issues. One major concern is that it is limited to specific regions, leaving players in many parts of the world unable to access the bright Koraidon and Miraidon. Some players have expressed frustration at only being able to obtain one of these shiny legendary Pokémon, highlighting the restriction. Reports from users on social media platforms show dissatisfaction with the event’s execution and accessibility.
The Brilliant Distribution Event of Koraidon and Shiny Miraidon
The brilliant distribution event of Koraidon and Shiny Miraidon is happening between September 26 and October 16 in several regions. Players in the United States can obtain codes at Gamestop stores, while those in Canada, Australia, and New Zealand can acquire them at EB Games. In Japan, the codes are available at local game stores. The codes are free and do not require a purchase at the store.
Players can only exchange one of these shiny Pokémon in Scarlet and Violet. If playing Scarlet, they can only exchange a shiny Miraidon, and if playing Violet, they can only exchange a shiny Koraidon. To obtain both shiny legendaries, players will need to trade with others, between consoles, or use Hogar Pokémon transfers.
Challenges and Resolutions
The distribution of shiny legendaries in Pokémon Sword and Shield faced similar challenges in 2021, including limited regional coverage and reports of purchase requirements to receive the code. As the event progresses, these issues are expected to be resolved, allowing players to obtain their shiny Koraidon or Miraidon for free in Scarlet and Violet Pokémon.
