He National Disaster Prevention and Response Service (Senapred) declared yellow alert for the commune of QuilpuéValparaíso Region, due to a violent forest fire that has consumed 60 hectares so far.
The incident began around 1:49 p.m. in the Fundo La Providencia sector and, as explained by the agency, it has extreme behavior, high propagation speed, high intensity on the advancing front and high flame length, which is why it has been spread rapidly.

For its part, the National Forestry Corporation (Conaf) reported that they are fighting the fire: two technicians, eleven brigades, five tankers, four helicopters, three tanker planes, a coordination plane with the commune’s firefighters.
