Batman: The Long Halloween (1996)
Created by Jeph Loeb & Tim Sale (DC Comics)
Even a superficial look at the most acclaimed stories starring Batman will reveal that Batman: Long Halloween Loeb and leaves is among the best.
With the story that takes place for a complete calendar year (to begin with), the case gives a different impression to the standard rhythm of the crime by crime of Bruce Wayne, not to mention that multiple turns and shifts take place throughout their investigation. Rewaring several different Keystone pieces from Batman Lore, the book seems guaranteed that it will be a classic of all time.
«The Long Halloween is an emotional and fundamental story of Batman that has led fans to Gotham for decades. Jeph Loeb and Tim comes out give readers a heartbreaking look of the way in which the crusade of the layer transforms its city even when defending it from the evolved threats of new villains and old friends.» – Gabrielle Robbins, comics writer

One of the best black and white comics of the genre, Dark Horse’s Sin City is an acclaimed neo-noir history set in a gloomy and authoritarian city in the United States.
The comic was revered for its approach and a great inspiration of the stories of pulp and crime-no TV, Movie, and Magazine. Similarly, he presented a Miller’s fascinating rhythm change, writing Sin City More as a television crime drama/serialized film in a comic format. Although the second film adaptation was poorly received, the 2005 initial film received generally positive criticism.
Preacher (1995)
Created by Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon (Vertigo, DC Comics)
With strong language, intense violence, and explicit sexual content, Preacher is not for the faint of heart. But for those who can handle it, this series offers a darkly comedic and thought-provoking story that delves deep into themes of religion, morality, and the supernatural.
