Declare CBU in AFIP
One of the most common errors in the inability to access the benefit is that AFIP asks to declare the CBU associated with the debit card with which the purchase is made. To do so, you must follow the following steps:
- Enter the AFIP website (afip.gob.ar) with your tax code.
- Access the “CBU declaration” option.
- Select “Register CBU”.
- Once the 22 digits of the CBU have been entered, the reason for registration can be selected: returns, My facilities or monotax payment.
- The bank will issue an authorization for the use of the CBU, which will be notified through the Electronic Tax Address.

What to claim if the VAT is not returned to me
If the VAT is not refunded after 48 hours, the claim must be initiated through the AFIP website, as follows:
- Enter the official AFIP page with your tax code and look for the “Claims and suggestions” option.
- Select the option “Citizen Assistance Program” and fill out the form.
- In the reason, declare the non-refund of VAT.
