A total of 36 detainees and 49% fewer «events» compared to last yearare part of the authorities’ balance sheet to a new Young Fighter’s Daywhich was commemorated this Friday.
In detail, Carabineros reported that the 36 detainees in the country represent 52% less than those registered during the 2023 demonstrationswhich ended with 75.
Likewise, it was reported 43 events throughout the country – a decrease of 49% compared to last year –the vast majority occurred in the Metropolitan Region (40), highlighting Saint Bernard (12), Huechuraba (9) and Central Station (6).
From these records, «15 were for the Gun Control Law, six for barricades, six for disorders«, reported the general Marcela Gonzalezwho also revealed that «there were no police officers or civilians injured.»
