The company Aguas Bonaerenses SA announced today a “slight improvement” in the water production system for Bahía Blanca and Punta Alta.
“In both the Patagonia Plant and Grünbein, the times between filter washing average 6 hours, although this is still far from the usual 12-hour interval,” the borrower explained.
Likewise, they recalled that «the raw water from the Paso de las Piedras Dam carries algae that affect the purification process, reducing the amount of water available.»
However, they highlighted that «these improvements in production allowed reserves to be recovered during the night and early morning of today.»
Despite this scenario, they recommended users adjust consumptionconsidering that the appearance or increase of algae is unpredictable.
